Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Wynelle Crosby Peacock, age 76, who passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at her residence under the care of Affinis Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County. She was the owner of Peacock Oil and Southern Express and a member of Crosby Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Peacock; son in-law, Elliott Carter and parents, Ernest and Birtelle Crosby.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia P. Carter; a granddaughter, Jordan L. Carter and fiancAC. Austin Griffin; a sister, Helen Strickland Rich and husband Cecil of Vidalia; two brothers, Carl E. Crosby and wife Margaret of Atlanta and James D. Crosby and wife Alene of Decatur; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 am at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Roy McClung and Reverend Creig Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crosby Chapel Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Taylor, Justin Taylor, Jared Turner, Cole Harrison, Stephen Tillman and Payne Eason.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nell Head, Dwain and Carolyn Hutto, Carolyn McMillan, Jackie Burkett, Elaine Williams, Glenda Crosby, Employees of Peacock Oil, Julie Wiggins, Helen Smith, Jill Johnson, Judy McDaniel, Alan Brock, Bobby Dupree, Russell Dupree, Employees of Southern Express, Tammy Hand, Donnie Reaves, April Tomlinson, Lindsey Roberts and staff of Affinis Hospice, Jimmy, Shirley, Andrew and Sarah Maley, Ruth Lightsey, Carolyn Werner, Daniel and Gina Delamora, Gloria Parker, Sarah Boatwright and all family and friends in attendance.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that remembrances be made to Crosby Chapel Building fund.
