William Hawkins

William Gerald Hawkins, age 73 died Sunday December 21, 2014 at Roswell Nursing Home, Roswell, GA. He was born November 26, 1941 in Ocilla, GA and was a Baxley, GA resident for many years. He had worked at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home. Mr. Hawkins had attended Red Oak Baptist Church and Baxley Freewill Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Alton Hawkins and Bernice Willingham Hawkins Martin and Ira Martin.

He is survived by two uncles, Carl Willingham and James and wife Gussie Hawkins and a number of cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23rd at 1:00 pm at Red Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Caleb Folsom officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Baxley Freewill Baptist Church or Red Oak Baptist Church.
