Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for William Edward Davis, age 50, passed away on September 29, 2015 at Hermann Memorial Northeast Medical Center in Houston, Texas. William was born on May 22, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Edd and Mary Louise Davis. He was raised in Baxley, Georgia, along with his younger brother (Luis Andrew Davis) where he worked on the farm until age 18 (1983) when he moved to Houston, Texas, to be with older brothers Bobby Davis and Jack Tracy Elliott. At that time he started a career in Construction and Materials Testing, eventually being certified to run City and County jobs. He was well respected and admired by many of his colleagues. His hobbies included music (guitars and blues), old cars and boats. He had a big attraction to the ocean but most of all he loved his family. He married wife, Kristi, on May 29, 1999 and remained with her for 16 years until his death. He was very fond of his nieces and nephews. He was a man of few words and a strong spiritual belief. William was a dedicated employee and a loving husband and family member who will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edd Davis; mother, Mary Louise Davis and brother, Luis Andrew (Bop) Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Kristi Davis of Houston, Texas; brother, Jack Tracy Elliott of Arizona City, Arizona; sister, Ongie Elaine Veldhuizen (John) of Blairsville, GA; brother, Bobby Davis (Nadine) of Houston, Texas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
