William (Billy) David Miles

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Mr. William (Billy) David Miles, age 83, who passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mr. Miles was a resident of Appling County the past twenty-two years and a member of Asbury Church.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert Miles and Rae Miles, stepmother, Bertie Lou Miles, brother-in-law, Jimmy Johnson, sisters- in- law, Linda Courson Fowler, Velma Courson Mumford, and Catherine Courson Carter.

Surviving is his wife of fifty-eight years, Janice Courson Miles of Baxley, son, Craig and Suzy Miles of Calhoun, daughter, Rebecca and Jeff Stancil of Fleming Island, FL, six grandchildren, Joshua and Ariana Stancil, Jacob Stancil, Joseph Stancil, Tabitha Miles, Caleb Miles, and John Miles, two sisters, Dianne Miles Johnson of Waycross, and Jane and Doyle Garrett of Vidalia, sister-in-law, Patricia Scarborough, brothers-in-law, William and Claudia Courson, Ronald Mumford, and Lake Carter, all of Baxley and Wayne and JoNell Courson of Canton, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 11 A.M. from the Asbury Church Cemetery with Reverend Craig Miles and Jeff Stancil officiating.

Thy family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Asbury Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Joshua Stancil, Noah Gardner, Monroe Crosby, Robby Courson, Jessie Weaver, Daniel Rentz, Anthony Pearce, and Ema Carter.

Honorary Pallbearers are all in attendance.
