Vonceil B Miles

Baxley-Vonceil B. Miles, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Joseph's/Candler in Savannah under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a homemaker and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hinton and Lela Beasley; two children, Larry Miles and Angelia Britt and a grandson, Brent Miles.

Survivors include; one son, Herschel Miles and wife Solita of Hazlehurst; a daughter, Donnette Williams and husband Mike of Baxley; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Beckworth of Baxley, Wynell Kennedy of Baxley and several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Griffin officiating.

Interment will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brett Miles, Micah Williams, Jonah Williams, Peyton Kennedy, Will Miles and Herk Miles.

Honorary pallbearer will be members of Asbury United Methodist Church.

The family will be gathering for lunch Saturday at 12 noon at Philadelphia United Methodist Church. The family will begin receiving friends at 10am Saturday morning at the church social hall.
