Violet Deen Williams

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Ms. Violet Deen Williams, age 83, who passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at her residence on Red Oak Road in Baxley. Ms. Violet was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a lifelong member of Red Oak Baptist Church, a member of the Tri-County Lions Club, and former secretary and treasurer of Williams Dairy.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, James Robert Williams; sister, Norma Faye Miles, brother, Herbert Deen; parents, Herbert L., and Inez Kilgore Deen.

Surviving are three sons, Ricky and Carol Williams, Rodney and Pam Williams, and Victor and Vickie Williams, all of Baxley; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn and Van Mills, and Connie Deen, both of Baxley.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. from the Red Oak Baptist Church with the Reverend Robbie Gill, Reverend Ron Ross, and Reverend Denny Waters officiating.

Ms. Williams will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.

Active Pallbearers are Glenn Williams, Lamar Deen, Chuck Williams, Larry Williams, Van Mills, Jr., Stacey Williams, and Keith Miles.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Adult Sunday School Class of Red Oak Baptist Church, members of the Tri-County Lions Club, and Regina Davis.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Red Oak Baptist Church, 999 Lynch Rd. Baxley, GA 31513.
