Velma "Sis" Twele Schuur

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Velma “Sis” Twele Schuur, age 91, who passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.  She was a native of Appling County living most of her life in Maryland and the past 20 years in Appling County.  She was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church and the manager of Blind Industries for the State of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Twele and parents, Claude G.  and Jenny Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Twele and wife Barbara of Baltimore, MD and Patrick J. Twele and wife Debbie of Fawngrove, PA; one daughter, Susan Twele of Stewartstown, PA;  one stepdaughter, Martha Wiley of Sebring, FL; four grandchildren, Scott Michael Twele and wife Lindsey, Natalie Lewis and husband Joshua, Andrew Twele and Timothy Twele; three great grandchildren, Jackson Charles Twele, Charlotte Velma Twele and Tyler Lewis; two brothers, Robert Williams and wife Violet of Baxley and Charles Williams wife Betty of Covington, GA; one sister in-law, Mary Williams of Baxley, several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11am at Red Oak Baptist Church with the Reverend Ron Ross and Reverend Denny Waters officiating.

Mrs. Schuur will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services.

Interment will follow in the Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers will be Glen Williams, Larry Williams, Stacy Williams, Ricky Williams, Rodney Williams, Victor Williams, Chuck Williams and Jeff Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will be gathering at Mrs. Schuur’s residence at 3851 Red Oak Road.
