Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Terry Jean McLeod, 59, who passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at The Pavilion under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. She was a native of Glynn County and had spent most of her life in Baxley and Hazlehurst. She was a graduate of Appling County High in 1972 and was a dedicated basketball player for the Lady Pirates. She played softball for the Men's Den and retired from the Hazlehurst Mills. Preceding her in death was her parents, Ivey "Pete" and Edna McLeod; a sister, Joyce Hart McLeod and a beloved dog of 19 years, Maggie.
Survivors include one sister, Lisa and Richard Walker of Baxley; a brother, Swain McLeod of Jesup; a special aunt, Shirley Rouse of Baxley, one niece, Kristal Walker; two nephews, Jason Walker and Jonathan Walker; two great nieces, Madison Walker and Brilee Walker and her buddy, Yolanda Thomas.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11am at the Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Rouse and Lisa Walker speaking.
Interment will follow in the Melton Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Ussery, Ronnie Walker, William Griffin and Winston Mincey.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Pavilion B Hall Nurses and Comfort Care Hospice.
