Susie Weaver Hall

Baxley-Susie Weaver Hall, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County. She worked for 24 years as a Nurse's Aide and then as a Social Activities Director at Appling General Nursing Home and was the owner of Juniors Country Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris and Lottie M. Chason.

Survivors include her children, Carrie T. Hutto and husband Russell of Baxley, Sherry A. Carter of Baxley, Lamar R. Carter and wife Sonja of Gainesville, Stanley L. Carter and wife Mary of Baxley, Lucious C. Carter, Jr. of Baxley and Teresa L. Gibbs and husband William Ed of Baxley; nine grandchildren, Misty Lewis, Christopher Carter, Kayla Carter, McKenzie Carter, Jason Horne, Cody Carter, Emory Duncan, Amber Duncan and Rusty Hutto.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11am at the David E. Miles Chapel with the Reverend Bobby Brinkley officiating.

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Cody Carter, Jason Horne, Matthew Lewis, Chris Carter, Rusty Hutto and Emory Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Denise Hayes, Goodwill Staff, Dr. Tonya Fordham, Dr. Oberg Higgins, Comfort Care Hospice Staff and L.C. and Rosene Carter

Memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill at or to the American Diabetes Association at

The family will be gathering at Mrs. Hall's residence at 1475 Dyal School Road, Baxley, GA 31513.
