Miles - Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Steve Kerr, age 61, who passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Appling Healthcare Systems. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County; a retired electrician with the Southern Company working at Plant Hatch for 37 years; a member and Past Master of the Holmesville Lodge # 195 F&AM; a member of the Alee Temple Shrine; former Scout Master with Troup # 472 and a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bliss Tillman Kerr, father, Hoover Kerr, step-son, Clint Quinn and a brother, Joe Kerr.
Surviving is his mother, Marijo Kerr of Albany; two sons, Rusty Kerr of Brunswick and Robby and wife Alli Kerr of Macon; two step-sons, Jerrod Quinn of Brunswick and Thomas Quinn of Brunswick; daughter-in-law, Kaci Quinn of Baxley; granddaughter, Kamdyn Quinn; brother, Tommy and wife Donna Kerr of Thomson; two sister, Corinne and husband Bud Crockett of South Lake Tahoe, CA and Catherine and husband Dennis Erickson of Albany; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church with the Reverends Tommy Daniels and Rick Brown officiating.
Interment for Steve and wife Bliss Kerr will follow in the Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Extension.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Holmesville Lodge # 195; Plant Hatch Employees and Boy Scout Troop # 472.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
