Shirley Griffin

Baxley-Shirley Holton Griffin, 59, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Medical College of Georgia. She was a native of Coffee County and had lived the past 39 years in Appling County. She was a Certified Nurse's Assistant for 15 year at Appling Healthcare Systems and a member of Harvest Temple Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; EZ and Mary Viola Holton; three brothers, Allen Bryant, Ronnie Cothern and Billy Stapleton and a daughter in-law, Kim Griffin.

Survivors are her husband of 39 years, Joel Glenn Griffin; two daughters and sons in-law, Shauna and Randy Rowell of Hazlehurst and Renee and Brad Thompson of Alma; two sons, Joe Holton and Jason Griffin both of Baxley; two sisters, Jurrell Dukes of Hazlehurst and Willene Reed of Pensacola, FL; one brother, J.T. Bryant of Hazlehurst; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11am at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Earl Wiggins officiating.

Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jacob Jackson, Dusty Jackson, Russell Griffin, Kevin Thomas, Kenny Griffin and Curt Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Appling Heathcare Systems and Harvest Temple Church of God.
