Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Shelton Ray Sellers, 68, who passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a retired Maintenance Supervisor at Propex with 43 years of service. He enjoyed farming, going to his granddaughters softball games and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lee and Colleen Hall Sellers and a brother, G.W. Sellers.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Sapp Sellers of Baxley; three sons, Sherman Sellers of Baxley, Stanley Sellers and wife Kathy of Baxley and Stacy Sellers and wife Christy of Baxley; five grandchildren, Alexis Sellers, Lynsey Sellers, Breann Sellers, Amber Hunter and Tyler Griffin; three great grandchildren, Paislee Jewell Griffin, Harley Hunter and Aiden Griffin; one brother, Jimmy Sellers and wife June; two sisters, Geraldine McCall and husband Donald and Dale Brewer and husband Paul; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2pm at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Herrington and Reverend Ronald Leggett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chad Floyd, Craig Floyd, Bryan McCall, Brad McCall, Patrick Spell, Jerad Stone, Laramie Sellers and Terry Sellers.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and members of Graham Church of God, Alvin Merritt, Johnny Padgett, Tommy Lawrence, Wendell Crosby, Cephus Turner, Earl Baucom, Steve Smith, Calvin Clements, Richard Lewis, Andy Sellers, Ira Lee Clements and Harrison Stege.
