Shane Whitney Tomlinson, 50, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at his residence. Shane was born March 2, 1963 in Brownwood, Texas. He is a native of Ozona, Texas and lived in Liberty County for the past 15 years. Shane served his country for 17 years being stationed in Korea, Ft. Bragg, NC; Ft. Sill, OK; Nuremburg, Germany; Bamburg, Germany; and Ft. Stewart, GA. He served in Operation Desert Storm. Shane loved God, working with his hands, and fishing. He adored his children and was extremely proud of them.

He has joined his sister Robin and father Tommie Joe Tomlinson in Heaven.


Survivors: daughter, Yvonne Tomlinson; two sons, Adrian Tomlinson and Joshua Tomlinson; mother, Marsha Lynne Tomlinson of Ozona, TX; brother, Tony Tomlinson and his family of Frisco, TX; sister, Donna McDaniel and his family of San Angelo, TX; brother, Michael Tomlinson of Fort Euliss, VA; sister Melanie Denson and her family of San Antonio, TX; maternal grandmother, Juanita Nicks of Brownwood, TX; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.


Memorial services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 4 p.m. from the Howard Funeral Home in Ludowici, GA.


Miles - Nobles Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements for Shane Whitney Tomlinson.
