Sallie Wilkes Shuman

Miles – Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services of Sallie Wilkes Shuman, age 92, who passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Navicent Health in Macon. She was a native of Telfair County living the past sixty-two years in Baxley; worked alongside her husband Dr. Jack D. Shuman in his chiropractic practice and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Baxley First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack D. Shuman and her parents, George Washington and Sarah Wilkes.

Surviving are three children, Jack T. and wife Debra Shuman of Baxley, Jan S. and husband Dr. Jack McKay of Vidalia and Jon D. Shuman of Macon; three grandchildren, Ava and husband Chris Dorminey of Willacoochee, Ashley and husband Matt Crews of Hahira and Jacquelyn and husband Andrew McKay-Lomaschinsky of Weston Turval Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom and one great grandchild, Luke Dorminey of Willacoochee.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. from the Miles – Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Sellers and Pastor Agnes Sellers officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Vidalia.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers will be Lonnie Sanders, Stan Johnson, Brandon Bowen, Ronnie Crosby, Glynn Pearce and Devin Pearce.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all in attendance.
