Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Robert Pollette, age 76, who passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Pollette and a son, Marvin James Pollette.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Bobbette Pollette of Baxley; three children, Diana Carter of Baxley, Buddy Pollette and wife Michele of Valdosta and Roger Dale Pollette of Baxley; his mother, Mattie Barber Pollette; two granddaughters, Ann Carter and Pamela Pollette; two grandsons, John Barber and Christopher Pollette; one adopted grandson, Kewame Pollette; three great-grandchildren and other family also survive.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 12 until 2 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2 pm at the Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rick Brown and Reverend Allen Rea officiating.
Interment will follow in the Friendship Congregational Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Hardwick, Kyle Hardwick, Alvin Jr. Kersey, Tim Griffin, Greg Griffin, Michael Griffin, Stacy Mobley and Marty Thompson.
