Ricky Bryan Thomas

Ricky Bryan Thomas, dedicated son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend of many, passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of fifty-three in Baxley, GA.

Ricky was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved being outside hunting and fishing. He was a man who enjoyed taking a hands-on approach to life.  He was funny, kindhearted, generous, and an all- around great person. He built his life around God and his family.  He always had a joke, and no one was a stranger to him.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and four fur babies.

Surviving is his wife, Heather Thomas, son, Grason Lane Hutchinson (Olivia Taylor), daughter, Lana Rae Livingston (Joseph), and child who he treated as his own, Brooklyn Courson, future granddaughter, Emarie Faith Livingston, parents, Pat and Sue (Ansley) Thomas, sister, Debra Lawrence (Tommy), brothers, Greg Thomas (Connie), and Keith Thomas (Pam), nieces and nephews, Brandy Sellers, Amber Griffis (Josh), Ansley McCarty (Lance), Kayla Thomas, and Brody Griffin, several great nieces and nephews, uncle, Gary Thomas (Sandy), and his fur babies, Sniper, Molly, Roxi, and Ray.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 3: 00 P.M. from the Baxley Church of God with Reverend Lamar Lee and Sheriff Mark Melton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Baxley Church of God.

Active Pallbearers are Kelvin Skinner, Mark Melton, Jeremy Bates, Stanley Allen, Richard Kight, and Chad Wynn.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky’s AT&T co-workers, and the Journeys Life Group of the Baxley Church of God.

The family welcomes the expression of sympathy through flowers, or a contribution may be made to the Baxley Church of God, Building Fund at baxleycog.com or Gideon’s International at gideons.org.

In Ricky's honor the family requests that all family and friends in attendance wear camouflage.
