Richard Martin

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Mr. Richard Donald “Marty” Martin, age 84, who passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at his residence under the care of Compassus Hospice. Mr. Martin was a United States Navy Veteran and a cable technician for Cable Vue T.V. in Jesup for over twenty years before moving to Savannah.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vina Martin Webster and Elmer Webster, Frank L. Martin, and Stella Wilson Martin; two siblings, Robert Frank Martin, and Ronald William Martin; four special family members, Doretha Lynn Deal, D. Lynn and Betty C. Deal, and Eleen Lee Deal.

Surviving are his four children, Cheryl M. Arnold (Kevin) of Savannah, David E. Martin (Leisha) of Jesup, Debbie M. Dees (John) of Baxley, and Greg Martin (Bebe) of Kingsland; six grandchildren, Blaze Martin (Samantha) of Riverview, FL, J.C. Dees of Savannah, Christopher Martin of Valdosta, Dylan Martin of Jesup, Zach Martin of Savannah, and Josh Martin of Savannah; two great grandchildren, Levi and Shelby Martin of Riverview, FL; a special friend, Linda Holub of Savannah; extended family members, Elwyn Deal (Nancy) of Anderson, SC, Annette Carter (Jimmy) of Hinesville, Roy Bass (Elaine) of Baxley, and Eldon Deal (Pam) of Baxley; several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
