Richard Wayne Eicher

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the memorial service for Mr. Richard “Wayne” Eicher, age 89, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Wayne was born on May 10, 1932, in Mount Pleasant, PA and resided in Baxley, Ga for forty-two years. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Baxley and retired from the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries after serving twenty-five years.

Wayne enjoyed reading the Bible, watching the Atlanta Braves games, working word search puzzles, listening to records, and enjoying many of his favorite foods.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Grace Eicher; five children, Debbie Assad (Peter), Robert Van Der Ploeg, Ron Eicher (Donna), Randy Eicher (Tammy) and Amy Spikes (Alan); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Legacy memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10:30 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Baxley.
