Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Prince "P.C." Carter, 89, who passed away December 3, 2013 under the care of Southern Care Hospice. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Carter and a son in-law, Wallace Thomas.

Survivors are his two daughters, Eldora Thomas of Bloomingdale and Annette and husband Robert Hamlin of Baxley; three sons, J.L. and wife Vonda Carter, Mickey and wife Connie Carter and Scott and wife Cindy Carter all of Baxley; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Margie Leigh of Baxley and several nieces and nephews also survive

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Bobby Brinkley and Reverend William Gardner officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Roy Nail, Charles Griffin and Peggy Griffin.
