Polly M Thompson

Baxley-Polly Chandler Thompson, 89, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Thompson had lived in Baxley for the past 6 years; she was a native of Opelika, Alabama born February 27, 1923. She was the youngest of her ten brothers and sisters and a Baptist by faith. She was a homemaker for 55 years, with a husband and 5 children to care for. Mrs. Thompson was a loving, caring person all her living life and even up to the end. She was preceded in death by her husband Glennie Thompson and two sons, Roy Thompson and Jerry Wayne Thompson.

Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine (Buddy) Sealing of Baxley, Margaret (Rick) Stidham of Doraville, GA and Linda (Jimmy) Smith of Albany, GA; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the David E. Miles Chapel with the Reverend Doug Weisel officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1-3 pm prior to the funeral services.

Interment will take place Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika, Alabama.
