Peggy Smith Mendoza

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Peggy Smith Mendoza, age 58, who passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice and her son and daughter in-law. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and worked in the food service industry. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayman Smith and stepfather, Bill Brooks, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Magdaleno Mendoza; two sons, Shawn Smith and daughter in-law Amber Cox and Micheal Smith; mother, Adel Mincey Relford, one brother, Steve Wayne Smith; four grandchildren, Miley J. Smith, Noah Cox, Crystal Marie Smith and Ryan Carson Smith.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Carlton Rowell officiating.

Interment will follow.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Kersey, Jeremy Kersey, John David Kersey, A.J. Harden, Johnny Bryant and Jamie Kersey.
