Paul William Haffele

Baxley-Paul William Haffele, 79, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Community Hospice Facility in Vidalia. He as a Retired United States Navy Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve and a proud supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project and USO. He was in the Automotive parts business for over 30 years. His wife of 41 years, Mary Jerrell Leggett Haffele, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Becky Berryhill of Baxley and Lana Jean Stone and husband Steve of Baxley; four grandchildren, Chris Griffin, Matt Griffin, Mort Berryhill and Amy Berryhill; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Haffele of Apple River, IN; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Nancy Handley.


Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 6-8 pm from the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 2 pm at the David E. Miles Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
