Surrency-Novadeen Jackson, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a native of Appling County; a member of the United Pentecostal Church since 1964 and a member of Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church since 1966. She was a former Sunday school teacher and a retired seamstress and caregiver. She loved crocheting, sewing and quilt making and was very faithful in giving to her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Lightsey Thornton and two brothers, Dewey Wright Thornton and James Edward Thornton.

Survivors are her three daughters, Sharon Ford of Surrency, Debra Ann and Edward Aldrich of Surrency and Jequito and Stanley Griffin of Surrency; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, A. Faye Jones of Surrency; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at Millikin Church Cemetery with the Reverend Ray Worley officiating. The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 11 am on Friday.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service on Friday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Aldrich, Tommy Griffin, Hunter Mosley and Michael Mosley.
