Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Norman Ray Brannen, age 59, who passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Community Hospice. He was a native of Orlando, FL living the past 15 years in Appling County. He was a retired gravedigger with Crosby Vault Company.
Survivors include his wife, Vanessa Brannen of Baxley; two daughters, Jennifer and Robert Sharpe of Baxley and Bethany Pittman of Baxley; four grandchildren, Abigail Sharpe, William Anthony Neder, Junior Sharpe and Iris Christine Foskey; two brothers, James Brannen of Baxley and William Brannen of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Betty Phelps of Baxley; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2pm at Omega Cemetery with the Reverend Wayne Rountree officiating.
Interment will follow.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Rozier, Brandon Clark, Josh Ward, Pete Phelps, Billy Joe Rountree and Tyler Eason.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Community Hospice and Dr. Everly Johnson.
