Merle Inman

Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Merle Inman, age 82, who passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Lumber City Nursing and Rehab. She was a native of Lanier County living most her life in Manor and Waycross before moving to Hazlehurst after the passing of her husband. Mrs. Inman was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.


She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cleveland Inman; parents, James and Fleda Nichols Newham and a grandson, Michael Strickland.


Surviving are five children, Johnnie Inman wife Terri of Nashville, TN, Harry Jenkins Inman and wife Melody of Bluffton, SC, Charlie Max Inman and wife Judy of San Antonio, TX, Fleda Gail Moore and husband David of Hazlehurst and Roger Brian Inman and wife Shirley of Statesboro; seven grandchildren, Wesley Inman, Stacey Garbutt, Christopher Inman, Lindsay Archambeault, Jake Moore, David Strickland and Brian Inman; one brother, Max Newham and wife Lillie Maude of Hazlehurst; numerous great-grandchildren and other family members also survive.


Visitation will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Zenith Baptist Church in Manor with the Reverend Michael Creamer and Reverend Max Newham officiating.


Interment will follow in the church cemetery.


Active Pallbearers will be Robbie Griffis, John Pafford, Henry Strickland Jr., Kevin Heath, Joey Bunch, Braxton Simmons Jr. and Harry Edenfield Jr.

Those desiring to express sympathy, the family will be having light refreshments at the funeral home Saturday evening and refreshments will be served following the service on Sunday at Zenith Baptist Church.
