Mattie Barber Bennett

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mattie Barber Bennett, 95, who passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her residence under the care of Affinity Hospice. She was a native of Appling County and had lived here most of her life. She was a member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Marvin Pollette and Eddie Bennett; one son, Marvin Robert Pollette and one grandson, James Pollette.

Survivors include a daughter in-law, Bobbette Pollette; three grandchildren, Diana Carter, Buddy Pollette and Roger Dale Pollette and one nephew, John Hardwick and wife Brenda all of Baxley.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 1-2pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2pm at the Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Allen Ray and Reverend Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Friendship Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Stacy Mobley, John Hardwick, Noah Mobley, Ricky Mock and Buddy Pollette.
