Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Mary Thornton Sharpe, age 54, who passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a retired seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Emory Thornton and Lydia Pearl Thornton; three sisters, Jane Ann Smith, Juanita Daniels and Frances Thornton.
Survivors include one sister, Shirley Mann and husband Ernie of Baxley; numerous nieces and nephews and two special friends, Michael Finley and Scottie Martin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2pm at Miles Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Frank Davis and Reverend Wayne Williamson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Surrency City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12-2pm prior to the funeral services on Friday.
Active Pallbearers will be Tommy Mann, Justin Kimmons, Kenny Carter, Steve Holton, Greg Mann and William Carter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Errol Carter, Michael Finley, Scottie Martin and the staff of Appling Healthcare Systems ICU.
