Baxley-Mary D. Kelley, 80, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; worked for Concerted Services and a member of Big Oaks Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kelley Sr.; parents, Burch and Pithena Dyal; granddaughter, Cherea Moore and two sisters, Oletha Stephens and Brenda Dyal.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah L. Kelley of Brunswick, Terry L. Carter and husband Allen of Baxley and Kimberly Clark and husband Bennie of Hazlehurst; two sons, Earl Moore and wife Carolyn of Baxley and William Robert Kelley and fiancAC. Kandie Eason of Baxley; a sister, Norma Jean Cooper of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3 pm at Big Oaks Church of God with the Reverend Virginia Herrington, Reverend Allen Carter and Reverend Mark Grimes officiating.
Interment will follow at Miles Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charlie Leggett, Larry Atkinson, Joe Davenport, Curtis Smith, Glen Crummey and Ralph Steager.
Honorary pallbearers will be Big Oaks Church of God Primetimer's Sunday School Class and Choir.
