Mary Collins

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Ms. Mary Griffin Collins, age 66, who passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Bacon County Hospital. Ms. Collins was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. She is a retired educator with the Appling County Board of Education at Appling County Middle School.

Ms. Collins is preceded in death by her parents, Carlton S. “Dottie” and Annette Griffin.

Surviving are her two sons, Andrew Troy “Andy” Collins of Baxley, and Carlton Matthew “Matt” Collins (Katie) of Waycross; two grandchildren, Walker Matthew Collins, and Welsey Matthew Collins of Waycross; two brothers, Mack Griffin (Stephanie) of Dublin, and Walter Griffin of Orlando FL; two sisters, Ann Smith (Dale) of Baxley and Virginia “Ginger” Griffin of Hazlehurst; many nieces and nephews also survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
