Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services of Mrs. Lucille Johnson, who passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. She was a native of Bacon County, living most of her life in Appling County; a homemaker and a member of Altamaha Baptist Church.


Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Johnson; a daughter, Sherri Branch and a granddaughter, Kami Branch.


Surviving is one son, Gary "Buddy" Johnson and Cindy Howard of Baxley; four grandchildren, Wayne and wife Kim Branch, Jared Branch, Lacey and husband Dustin Hunter and Garrett Lee Johnson; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Faye Jarrard, Helen McCardle and Louise Lamb; one brother, Grady Cothern and several nieces and nephews also survive.


Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Joey Andrews and Sister Gail Johnson officiating.


Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery.


The family will assemble at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. with the processional leaving the funeral home at 1:30.


Active Pallbearers will be Terry Shiver, Auty Edenfield, Jarod Stone, Bryan Daniels, James Fennel and Kenneth Reynolds.


Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and friends.
