Linda Wilkerson

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Linda Wilkerson, age 69, who passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Lumber City Nursing and Rehab under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She lived most of her life in Appling County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death her parents, James and Ovedia Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, John "Buddy" Wilkerson of Baxley; one son and daughter in-law, Joshua Wilkerson and Samantha Ward of Baxley; one granddaughter, Isabelle Wilkerson; three brothers, Jim Johnson, Kenny Johnson and Timothy Johnson; three sisters, Wilma Scarborough, Gail Clary and Beth Howard; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 3pm at Altamaha Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Hutchenson officiating.

Mrs. Wilkerson will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Interment will follow at the Altamaha Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Charlie Klughart, Jonathan Klughart, Matt Johnson, Luke Johnson, John Taylor Clary and Dakota Clary.

Honorary pallbearers will be Altamaha Baptist Church Adult Sunday School class and Southern Care Hospice.
