Miles – Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services of Leola H. Robertson, age 78, who passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Pavilion under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a retired waitress. Mrs. Leola was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Stewart; sisters, Hazel Jackson, Shirley Lane, Mattie Sapp and Willa Mae Carter; two brothers, G.L. Horton and Cleveland Horton; parents, Leonard and Louella Crosby Horton.
Surviving is a daughter, Bobbie Scarborough of Baxley; three sons, Randy Scarborough of Gillette, Wyoming, Russell Scarborough of Lancaster, South Carolina and Ricky Scarborough of Baxley; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nell Sheffield of Baxley and Juanita Leggett of Odum and other family also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 4 p.m. from the Miles – Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Horton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Zion Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Sunday.
Active Pallbearers will be Terry Sapp, Robby Fennel, Aaron Carter, Russell Scarborough, Eric Pierce and Bradley Dollar.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Tonya Fordham, Spanish Oaks Hospice Staff, Pavilion Staff and all in attendance.
The family will be gathering at the home of Mrs. Nell Sheffield at 646 Sheffield Rd.
