Laverne "Suzie" Gay

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the graveside service for Ms. Laverne “Suzie” Gay, age 72, who passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Satilla Hospice in Waycross. Ms. Gay was a lifetime resident of Appling County, attended Phillip Baptist Church and was a housekeeper for Appling Healthcare.

Ms. Gay is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gay.

Surviving is her three children, Andy Gay, Lee Gay (Glenda), and Stephanie Mincey (Terry D.); six grandchildren, Christy Mincey, Haley Coleman, Cecil Mincey, Carrie Gay, Terry W. Mincey, and Hannah Gay; three great grandchildren, Aubree Coleman, Andrew McKay, and Braxtyn McKay; two sisters, Lawanda Westberry and Tiny Thomas; a brother, G.C. Waters; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The graveside service will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. from the Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Bryan Gill, and Brother Darien Jackson officiating.

Interment will follow.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, beginning at 2 P.M. at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers are Cecil Mincey, Terry W. Mincey, Harry Jenkins, Terry D. Mincey, James Coleman, and Tommy McKay.
