Lana Jean Stone

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Lana Jean Stone age 51, who passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Appling Healthcare under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a resident of Appling County where she lived most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents William Paul and Mary Jerrel Haffele and her husband Steve Stone.

Survivors include two sons, Matt Griffin and Angela Hall of Baxley and Chris Griffin and Amanda Cooper of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Rileigh Brooks Griffin, Jordan Marie Scott, Gavin Smith and Annabelle Taylor; other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11 am at the Miles Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Charles Hutcheson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Carroll Hand, Chris Ryals, Victor Cooper, Matt Johnson, Randy Cooper and Thomas Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Southern Care Hospice.
