Klayton Garrett Kinard

Klayton Garrett Kinard, age 40, passed away on August 28, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1986, in Jesup, Georgia. He was raised in Wayne County and later made his home in Bacon County with his wife and children. To those who knew and loved him, he was simply Garrett. He was known for his unforgettable energy, his larger-than-life personality, and the way he brought life into every room he entered. Garrett never stayed in one place for long, and wherever he went, he left behind stories, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever. More than anything, Garrett loved his family and loved Jesus. His family was deeply important to him, and beneath all his energy was a heart that loved fiercely. His life was not without struggles, but those struggles never changed his worth, the love his family had for him, or the love Jesus had for him. Garrett was more than the battles he faced—he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, family member, and friend. Garrett made a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path. Although his time here ended far sooner than those who loved him were ready for, his life mattered, his story mattered, and the love he gave will continue to live on through his family and every person whose life he touched. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Quillie and Wanda Kinard and Robert and Ruth Atkinson. He is survived by his wife, Autumn Kinard; his children, Dash Kinard, Khloey Kinard, Blaize Kinard, Norah Kinard, Ryder Kinard, and Emory Kinard; his parents, Klayton and Sonia Kinard; his brother, Judah Kinard (Kylie Harris); his sisters, Miriam Moody (Farris), Grace Kinard, and Eden Kinard; and his nieces and nephews, Nevaeh Anderson, Noah Moody, Dacie Kinard, Jeremiah Kinard, and Elijah Kinard. In keeping with Garrett's restless spirit and his inability to sit still for very long, he chose to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at Baxley Church of God on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the celebration of life service to follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Farris Moody.
