Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Kendall Eugene Kirksey, age 80, who passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, after a long illness. Mr. Kirksey was raised in Statesboro, and a resident of Appling County for the past fifty years. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a retired iron worker with Local 709 in Savannah.
Mr. Kirksey is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Horace and Catherine Taylor Kirksey, and brother, Jimmy Wayne Kirksey.
Surviving are his three children, Kim Morris (Darrell), Kenny Kirksey (Svitlana), and Kelly Kirksey (Heather); eleven grandchildren, Lauren Johnston (James), Cason Kirksey, Abbie Morris, Kendall Kirksey, Olivia Morris, Justin Morris, Cadence Jenkinson, Kinsely Jenkinson, Pryce Jenkinson, Sutton Jenkinson, and Oryna Stestopalova; and brother, Frank ‘Chuck’ Kirksey.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robbie Tomberlin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Friendship Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. from Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Active Pallbearers are Cason Kirksey, Darrell Morris, Lamar Deen, Wayne Kirksey, Justin Morris, and Noah Clegg.
Honorary Pallbearers are American Legion Post #26, and Iron Workers Local 709 in Savannah.
