Julee Groover Hutcheson

Miles - Nobles Funeral Home announces the services of Mrs. Julee Groover Hutcheson, age 80, who passed away Friday, July 4 ,2014 at St. Joseph' s Hospital in Savannah. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; a retired seamstress and foster mother. She was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church, the Bobby and Ann Jones Sunday School Class and served as the church florist. Mrs. Hutcheson was a mother of five and a granny to all who knew her.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Edna Groover; husband, Charles Edwin Hutcheson Sr.; daughter, Carol Anita Hutcheson; brother, Donald Groover; sister, Ruth Crummey and an uncle, Madison Cowart.


Surviving is her children, Kay and Paul Harrelson, Reverend Charles and Diane Hutcheson, Reverend Kenny and Pam Hutcheson, Jennifer and Chris Peck and Jill and Michael Stallings; thirteen grandchildren, Randy Harrelson, Andy Harrelson, Brandon Harrelson, Casey Hutcheson, Wendy Carol Hutcheson, Jamie Hutcheson, Elizabeth Rowland, Angela Sermons, Nicholas Hutcheson, Bailey Peck, Emalee Peck, Jessi Stallings and Cierra Stallings; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jo Dukes; and other family also survive.


Visitation will be held Sunday evening beginning at 6 p.m. at Altamaha Baptist Church.


Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Altamaha Baptist Church with the Reverends Charles Hutcheson, Kenny Hutcheson and Gary Conger officiating.


Musical selections will be by the Altamaha Church Choir, Bobby and Ann Jones, Mrs. Lorrie Ann Lewis and Mrs. Nell Mullis accompanied by Mrs. Rita Jane Lipthratt on piano.


Interment will follow in the Baxley Graveyard.


Active Pallbearers will be Randy Harrelson, Andy Harrelson, Brandon Harrelson, Casey Hutcheson, Eric Stone and Darren Sermons.


Honorary Pallbearers will the members of Altamaha Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church, Velda Lynn, Trina Barlow, Pat Claxton, Donald and Rhonda Harrelson, Dr. Teresa Cezar and Knicole Lee.
