Jonnie Morris

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the services of Mrs. Jonnie W. Morris, 66, who passed Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Appling Health Care Systems. She was a native of Appling County. From 1952-1985 she resided in Bradenton, FL until moving back to Appling County. She was a retired secretary for Pepsi Co. and a member of Zion Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Agnes Bass Giddens.

Survivors include her husband, James "Buck" Morris of Surrency; one daughter, Amanda Hanner and companion Ken Willcoxon of Gainesville, FL; one stepson, Daniel and wife Evelyn Morris of Baxley; one step daughter, Barbara and husband Bob Hewson of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Catie Hanner, Aryanna Willcoxon, Savannah Willcoxon, Rachel Hewson, Bailey Hewson and Alec Hewson; one brother, Edward Giddens of Bradenton, FL; one sister, Ellie Shawley of Arizona; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2pm at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steven Steadham officiating.

Interment will follow in the Zion Church of God Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Randy Crawford, John Alexander, Sam Beckworth, Gary Turner, Marlowe Waters and Marvin Carter.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Zion Church of God.
