Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Johnny A. Davis, 62, who passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Appling Healthcare Systems. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of God. He was a Master Timber Harvester and owner of J&B Trucking. Johnny was known far and wide for helping those in need. He lived by the moto "Be a Blessing to Get a Blessing". He loved his savior, Jesus Christ; loved the woods, logging was his passion, and his grandchildren in which he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Ciller Taylor Davis and three brothers, Clarence Davis, Harvey Davis and Dan Davis, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Barbara Willis Davis of Baxley; two sons, Adam Davis and wife Dana and Landon Ridge Davis both of Baxley; six daughters, Tonia Salazar and Matt Thigpen of Lyons, Sonia Clifton and husband Kent of Anderson, SC, Jada Davis of Baxley, Penny Dubberly and husband Wadis, Jr. of Baxley, Amy Jones and husband Mitchell of Baxley, Cheri Slater and husband Brandon of Oak Park and Kimberly Lee and husband Shawn of Baxley; several grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, James Davis and wife Shirley of Alma and Carl Davis and wife Audine of Alma; six sisters, Melba Davis of Melbourne, FL, Connie Morris and husband Larry of Waycross, Bonnie Touchton and husband William of Atlanta, Dorothy Hawkins of Douglas, Nola Bell Tanner of Waycross and Linda Dean and husband Cecil of Waycross; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 3pm at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Bryant officiating.

Interment will follow in the Altamaha Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Davis, Darryl Davis, Bo-Bo Davis, Brandon Slater, Wadis Dubberly, Jr., Mitchell Jones, Justin Salazar and Shawn Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be JM Forestry employees, Jesse Murray, JM Roberson, Jerry and Dedra Hewett and Dr. Tonya Fordham.
