Johnnie Harden

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Johnnie Harden, 79, who passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his residence after a long illness under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; retired from Appling Healthcare System Maintenance Department and a member of Ferry Road Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Henry and Vinnie Louise Harden; two sisters, Velma Bohannon and Evelyn Carter and three brothers, Elmer Harden, Wilford Harden and Alan Harden.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Donnie Mae Harden of Baxley; two sons, Tommy Harden and wife Julie of Gainesville, GA and Larry Harden of Baxley; five grandchildren, Misty Brown and husband Josh of Port Saint Lucie, FL, T.J. Harden and wife Leigh of Dublin, Josh Clements and wife Ashley of Dublin, Jeremy Clements of Dublin and Tuesday Clements of Gainesville; eight great grandchildren and two brothers, Bill Harden of Brunswick and W.H. Harden of Mooresville, NC.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2pm at the Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ernest Dyal and Reverend Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Comfort Care Hospice staff, Appling Healthcare Systems staff, Tommy King and all family and friends in attendance.
