Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. John Charles Redman, age 76, who passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Coach Redman, as he was affectionally called, was born October 22, 1946, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Charles Russell Redman and Thelma Dean Nunnally Redman.

Coach Redman is survived by his wife Margaret Perkins Redman, four children, Kevin Dean Redman (Kathy), Lynn Ann Friant (Randy), Dana Marie Smith, Neal Thomas Redman (Teresa); and John’s “Sis” Deanna Bertrand (Wilbert). He is survived by his grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew and Emily Redman, Josh and Nick Friant, Kellyn and Anna Klare Smith, and Charlie Redman.
He is also survived by nephews Ron Bertrand (Jennifer), David Redman (Angie), Bill Redman, Jeff Perkins (Whitney), Brian Perkins (Lauren) and a niece Jennifer Tingle (Brent).

In addition to his parents, Coach Redman is preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Ann Redman, brother Gary Redman (Christine), and nephews Russell Bertrand and Michael Redman.

The funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:00am from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Rafael Estrada officiating.

Interment will follow in the Appling Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm with a Rosary Service following from 6:00pm to 6:30pm.

The honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew and Emily Redman, Josh and Nick Friant, Kellyn and Anna Klare Smith, and Charlie Redman.


In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
