John Jennings

Miles - Nobles Funeral Home announces the death and funeral services for Mr. John Jennings, age 84, who passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South GA. He was a native of Leesburg, FL and had lived in Appling County the past twenty-five years; was a retired construction worker and a member of Surrency Community Bible Church.


Surviving is his wife, Pauline Jennings of Surrency; seven children, Patricia and husband James Snow of Herraman, TN, Delbert Jennings of Orlando, FL, Rita and husband Herb Barthelemy of Lady Lake, FL, Danny and wife Essie Jennings of Lake Okeechaobe, FL, Barbara and husband Nathan Smith of Weirsdale, FL, Darrell and wife Brenda Jennings of Ocala, FL and Debra and husband Frank Hunter of Surrency; twenty-one grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur and wife Jean Jennings of Marion, IN and one sister, Ruth Blevens of Huntsville, TN.


Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at 3 p.m. from the Miles - Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Carlton Rowell, Buddy Horne and Sam Holland officiating.


Interment will follow in the Surrency City Cemetery.


Active Pallbearers will be Christopher Pearce, Jason Pearce, Frank Hunter, Jr., Jonathan Jennings, Nathan Smith and Herb Barthelemy.


Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Tillman, Emmitt Gibbs, Tom Bellew, Bernie Pearce, David Williams, Otis Beecher, J.C. Hunter, Bob Brown, James Daniels, Lewis Parker, Carlton James and Scott Cooper and all members of Surrency Community Bible Church.
