Joel Glenn Griffin

Miles - Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Joel Glenn Griffin, age 61, who passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County; a truck driver and a member of Harvest Temple Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Holton Griffin and parents, Grady Griffin and Bonice Cothern Griffin.

Survivors include his children Shauna and Randy Rowell of Hazlehurst and Renee and Brad Thompson of Farmville, VA, Jason and Lindsey Griffin of Baxley and Joe Holton of Baxley; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Kenny and Rhonda Griffin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Miles - Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Earl Wiggins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Curt Griffin, Jamie Williams, Jon Pryor, Randy Griffin, Durwin Griffin, Russell Griffin, Donnie Griffin and Travis Knight.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Errol Graham and staff, Harvest Temple Church of God members.
