Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Jane Ann Thornton Smith, 71, who passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County. She was a loving sister. She loved country and gospel music, children, singing and sitting outside. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lyndia Thornton and sisters, Juanita Daniels and Francis Thornton.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley and Ernie Mann of Baxley and Mary Sharpe of Baxley; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Martha Crosby.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 form 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2pm at Miles Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tommy Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in the Surrency City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Holton, Dustin Mann, William Carter, Kenny Carter and Leonard Spell.
