James K. Zerkel

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. James K. Zerkel, age 82, who passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at his residence under the care of his family and Regency Southern Care Hospice. Mr. Zerkel was a Chicago, Illinois native living in Baxley for the past twenty-one years. He was a twenty-five-year quality control retiree with Akzo Noble, a United States Army Veteran and attended Baxley Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Zerkel is preceded in death by his parents, Paul, and Mary Zimmerman Zerkel and a brother, John Zerkel.

Surviving is his wife of twenty-three years, Mila Zerkel; son, Dennis Zerkel, brother, Thomas Zerkel, and a sister, Ann Miller.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 3 P.M. from the Omega Cemetery with the Reverend Doug Weisel officiating.

Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
