Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of James Edward Pearce, 65, who passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County and a retired mechanic. He was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God and enjoyed woodworking, auctions, fishing and yard sales. He loved his family, grandchildren and dog Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manning and Dollie Pearce and a brother, Dwight Pearce.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Leggett Pearce of Baxley; two sons, James and Lisa Pearce of Jesup and Robert and Lia Pearce of Baxley; five grandchildren, Dusty Bruce, Tyler Pearce, Aaron Pearce, Peighton Pearce and Alexis Pearce; three sisters, Gail and Matt Rushing of Baxley, Glenda and Joe Wykle of Baxley and Debbie Pearce of Baxley, several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11am at the Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Earl Wiggins, Sister Agnus Sellers, Reverend Rick Brown and Reverend Richard Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Johnson, Anthony Pearce, Jason Rushing, Benji Pearce, Stacey Leggett, M.C. Leggett, Jason Pearce and Huey Lane.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Cylde Ishee, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie White, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Atkinson, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Horton, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Igou, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Sharpe, Dr. Ronald Reagan, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Rogers, Mr. Bill Smith, Mr. and Mrs. RL Branch, Mr. Randy Sellers, Mr. Carroll Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Carter, Mr. Ronnie Nelson, Mr. Lonnie Wooten, Mr. Horace Wooten, Mr. and Mrs. David Barlow, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Altman and all friends and family in attendance.
