Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of James "J.W." King, 81, who passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his residence under the care of Advantage Hospice. He was a native of Appling County. Mr. J.W. retired from Union Camp and was a member of Damascus Primitive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche E. King; a son James King, Jr. and his parents, Mark and Emma Lou Barns King.
Survivors include four sons, Mike King of Richmond Hill, Mark S. King and wife Susan of Richmond Hill, Matt King and wife Donna of Richmond Hill and Jeffery King and wife Kimberly of Richmond Hill; 12 grandchildren, Destiny West, Mica Gunn, Michael King, James King III, Amanda Boswick, Amy Santini, Dustin King, Matthew King, Jr., Mallory R. King, Kerrigan King, Dustin Harrelson and Kilye Harrelson; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers; six sisters; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 2 pm at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Charles Tyson officiating.
Visitation will be held on hour prior to funeral services on Sunday.
Interment will follow in the Damascus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dustin King, Matt King, Dustin Harrelson, Earl Griffin, Michael King and James King III.
