Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. James “Mike” Crummey, age 62, who passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Mr. Crummey was a native of Jacksonville, Florida living the past thirty-three years in Baxley. He was a retired crane operator with IUOE Local 474 Savannah and a member of First Assembly of God.

 

Mr. Crummey is preceded in death by his parents, James Howard and Melba Lee Simmons Crummey.

 

Surviving is his wife of forty-two years, Carletta Crummey; three children, Ashley Bowen (David), Tiffany Williams (Joesph) and, Cody Crummey (Lynnsey) ; five grandchildren, Emily Bowen, Cady Bowen, Hannah Williams, Lena Crummey, and Rylie Crummey; five siblings, Randy Crummey (Lynne), Janice Crawford (Jack), Dwaine Crummey (Lynn), Wayne Crummey (Rebecca), and Rebecca Kneeland (Eric); and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 

The funeral service will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. from First Assembly of God with Reverend Ronnie Rentz and Reverend Dwaine Crummey officiating.

 

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are IUOE Local 474 Savannah, Flave and Nedra Williams, June and Nick Matthews, Austin Bellah, Dustin Bellah, Jake Bellah, members of First Assembly of God, Hospice of South Georgia, Fred and Evelyn Hensley, Treena Crummey, and Dirce Bowen.

 

In lieu of flowers the family ask that monetary donations to be made to Mrs. Carletta Crummey 5326 Old Field Cemetery Rd Baxley, Ga 31513.
