James "Chap" Causey

Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Mr. James Chappel "Chap" Causey, age 85, who passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Appling Healthcare Systems. He was a native of Jeff Davis County, living most of his life in Baxley; a retired heavy equipment operator and a member and former deacon of Zoar Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Albert Causey and Annie Branch Causey; four sisters, Hazel Sapp, Liza Rigdill, Emma Cain and Irene Brown.

Surviving is his wife of fifty-six years, Mrs. JoAnn Cravey Causey of Baxley, four sons, James Craig and wife Karen Causey of Baxley, Mark Steven and wife Debbie Causey of Baxley, William Albert and wife Janet Causey of Uvalda and Homer Brad and wife Mary Causey of Baxley; eight grandchildren, William Causey, Staci Harrelson, Trevor Causey, Devin Causey, Colin Causey, Erika Causey, Karlee Causey, Connor Causey, Josh Foskey, Megan Lamb and Erin Lamb; one sister, Bonnie Tanner of Alma; two brothers, Reverend Aaron Causey of Glennville and Bill Causey of Augusta; several nieces and nephews and other family also survive.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. from the Miles-Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend J.E. Blanton and Reverend Daniel Gilliam officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery in Jeff Davis County.

Active Pallbearers will be Trevor Causey, Josh Foskey, Connor Causey, Devin Causey, William Causey and Colin Causey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends and family in attendance.
