Jack Rentz

Miles - Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Jack Rentz, age 95, who passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Appling Healthcare Systems. He was a native of Jeff Davis County; a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army Air Corps, a retired salesman and a member of Zoar Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Dolan Rentz; parents; Lott and Fodia Rentz; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his daughter, Vikki Allday of Hazlehurst, four grandchildren, Jason Allday and wife Bandi of Columbus, Jake Allday and wife Michelle of Hazlehurst, Josh Allday of Hazlehurst and Joely Chaney and husband Joshua of Gentry, AR; seven great grandchildren, Lindsey Allday, Ansley Allday, Laurakate Chaney, Faith Allday, Bellagrace Chaney, Brooks Allday and Caroline Allday; a sister, Leola Walker of St. Cloud, FL, brother, J.L. Rentz of Hazlehurst, several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 2pm at Zoar Baptist Church with the Reverend Robert Wigley and Reverend Tommy Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in the Zoar Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Tyrone Rentz, Larry Rentz, Jeffery Chavis, J.B. Rentz, Tony Rentz and Jim LeCours.

Honorary pallbearers will be all family and friends in attendance.
